Designed in the USA but manufactured in Japan, Hodaka motorcycles are quite a rare sight in Europe. With a range of mainly small capacity 2-stroke off-road and 'trail' type machines they enjoyed great popularity in the 'States and were known for their imaginative model naming including the Road Toad, the Dirt Squirt, the Super Rat and, like the bike featured here by Ken Kaplan at the New England Motorcycle Museum, the Hodaka Super Combat, which was a competition focused 125.
