The Austin A30 is a small family car produced by Austin from 1952 to 1956, 223,000 were made. It featured the new 803cc A Series engine and was the company's first car with a fully stressed monocoque, body. It was replaced by the Austin A35 in 1956. It is easy to identify an ostin A35 because it has a larger back window and it has proper indicators on each corner instead of the little, amber semaphore flag which would pop-up on the B pillar. The Austin A30 made it Longbridge, Birmingham, was the first small Austin after the war years. This particular car spent 50 years hidden away before being discovered. The previous owners had used it to extensively for their holidays. I believe the car travelled abroad several times. This one will have the 803 cc engine. People generally recognise the A30 from its smaller back window, but they also have a different gutter arrangement around the roof and a silver grille, rather than a painted one.
