Aspirus Wausau Hospital has opened a new dual helipad that will help patients across the region get lifesaving care faster. With two landing pads located right next to the Emergency Department, emergency medical teams can move patients into treatment more quickly, especially during trauma, cardiac, or stroke events. “This is better for our patients and safer for our crews,” said Chad Eckhard, Base Aviation Manager and helicopter pilot. “It strengthens emergency access for the entire community.”
