Update! Cinder is eating great and has gained a little over a pound. She loves anything orange of the baby food selection, but not interested in solids. Her mouth is still painful, so soft food is easier for her. She is still receiving her induction medications so we are keeping a close eye on her. Dr. Wolf also said she may reabsorb her miscarriage in utero which will be easier on her body than having to pass the baby vaginally. We will keep you posted. Maned wolf pupdate: Brisa and Sheldon's four maned wolf pups have names! 🐺 The female pup is named Jaci (yah-see) after the goddess of the moon in Tupi/Guarani mythology. Caipora is the darkest male named for being the protector of animals in Tupi/Guarani mythology. One of the other males is named Cinza, which means gray, ash, or cinder in Portuguese as he was the pup born with the lighter coloration and fiery personality.
